SailFuture is licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families to operate quality residential treatment programs for 13 – 18 year old boys.
Within the program, youth receive mental health and job training services, as well as attend a technical high school and participate in multi-month sailing journeys throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
Similar to a boarding school, our residential model includes an accredited experiential high school, challenging sailing experiences, individual counseling, and job training.
Youth participate in a 3-month long rite of passage sailing experience where they navigate around the state of Florida and complete service learning projects, earning credit towards their high school diploma or GED.

After their sailing journey, the boys return to the licensed group home and work with our case management and family support teams to achieve reunification or a permanent foster family setting.

After youth step down to another placement, they are eligible to continue attending SailFuture’s high school and receiving support services, including mental health, case management, and respite care.
